Chemical Agent Instructor addresses multiple facets of chemical agents, including safety, training, proper deployment, tactical applications, decontamination, administrative duties, and liability. Each student is required to present assigned topics to the class and team-teach an assigned topic to a group of students as part of the course’s final exam. Students must also pass a written final exam. Students will need to bring either a laptop or an iPad/Tablet to complete the written components of the practical application presentation. This course will not just prepare you to deploy chemical agents, but to train, document, and defend your program.
Students enrolled in the Chemical Instructor Course will be exposed to controlled amounts of gas as part of their training. This exposure is conducted in a supervised environment by qualified personnel to ensure safety while providing participants with a practical understanding of the effects and proper response procedures associated with chemical agents. Participation in this portion of the training is intended to prepare students for real-world scenarios they may encounter in the line of duty.
