I am Bob Meader, a professional speaker, author, retired law enforcement commander, military veteran and former paramedic.
I grew up in Cleveland and served for four years on active duty with the U.S. Air Force at Wright-Patterson A.F.B. in Dayton as a Security Policeman. While on active duty, I obtained the first of my two OPOTA certificates and volunteered with the Village of Waynesville Police Department in Warren County, Ohio. After being honorably discharged from the Air Force, I served another six years in the active USAF Reserves as a paramedic while settling in Central Ohio. I worked as a paramedic for two and a half years at THE Ohio State University. I then served at Columbus Police for nearly thirty-two years, retiring in early 2022.
I obtained my undergraduate and law degrees from Capital University and am licensed to practice law in Ohio and the Southern District Federal Court in Ohio. I am also an adjunct professor at Franklin University. In 2024, I published my first book Objectively Reasonable which was written for Ohio law enforcement officers.
Today, I travel across the State of Ohio instructing officers and lawyers on up-to-date case law. As a Christian, I enjoy sharing the ministry of law enforcement with the next generation of public servants who dedicate their lives to helping people they have never met. I look forward to helping officers, law enforcement agencies and communities remain safe in a turbulent world.
Always be safe, smart and Objectively Reasonable!
Bob
