Tyler enlisted in the army in 1996 where he served with the 2-2 infantry out of Vilseck Germany. He started his law enforcement career in 2002 with the Prescott Police Department. Tyler co-chaired the Sniper SME committee for Arizona Tactical Officers Association for 9 years and as part of that committee, provided LE sniper training to countless snipers within the state. He was the sniper team leader of the Prescott SWAT team for 12 years and where he retired from in 2022. Tyler is an active instructor both professionally and personally and is a huge benefit to Standing Offhand.  He is a strong personal friend and the teaching chemistry is immediately apparent in any of our courses. 

Tyler has developed numerous courses for his department and beyond, running the gamut from basic, recruit level handgun to HRT to big bore rifle classes.  He has collaborated with multiple instructor teams over the years to increase their overall survivability and proficiency.  Tyler is in high demand and is frequently called upon by outside agencies around the state to assist them in providing instruction or developing their own team.  There are few better men able to do what we’re here to accomplish and the working relationship with Jeff is second to none.
