This workshop is designed to give officers the capability to make observations of human behavior patterns to increase their survivability and effectiveness while on duty. HTMBPR is a science-based predictive analysis and proactive decision-making model. It's based on lessons learned from the development of Human Behavior Pattern Recognition and Analysis (HBPR&A) programs for the Department of Defense. HTMBPR focuses on developing advanced critical thinking by understanding human behavior patterns. It provides a framework for Law Enforcement Officers to observe, articulate, document, and defend decisions they make in the course of performing their duties by providing officers with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to 1) observe a situation, orient themselves within it, and make sound practical decisions in accordance with law and agency policy and procedure, and 2) then take legal, moral and ethically appropriate action(s).
This is a tactical field decision-making model for intelligence-based policing.
