TKM Unlimited, Inc.’s (Patent Pending) Ballistic-Rapid Air Deployable System (B-RADS) technology fills the need for next generation force protection and emergency response ballistic and blast protection equipment. 

Current ballistic protection equipment, such as shields, are difficult to transport/use due to their rigidity, reliance on mass/thickness to stop projectiles, and offer little to no force dampening protection often causing the user to suffer blunt force trauma injuries.  The B-RADS is designed as a ballistic protection system.  It uses a blend of ballistic resistant material, fused with a unique air bladder and rapid inflation valve, that inflates in second from its compact pre-inflation configuration to its’ full operational configuration. 

As an example, our National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Level IIIA equivalent B-RADS shield, when actuated, transforms from a stowed 8 inch in diameter by 26-inch-long compact roll into a ridged 26 x 43 x 2.5-inch shield. TKM’s force absorbing air bladder defuses and dampens virtually all ballistic impact negating user blunt force trauma.  TKM’s revolutionary B-RADS innovation can be adapted from a shield application to body armor, stretcher, panel, personnel bunker, and more.
