Target identification is the Holy Grail to police snipers.  While clothing, perceived race, sex, and hair color are the expected initial identifiers for us to narrow a search, truly positive identification focuses intently on details that are very difficult or impossible to change.  Add to that the relative instability of positions other than the prone and the task becomes challenging.  This course aims to expose police snipers to an elevated level of target scrutiny from unconventional positions, techniques to mitigate perceived movement and increase confidence, and provide a renewed respect for possibly the most important responsibility we are depended on for. Successfully managing tactical incidents as a sniper and living up to the expectations we carry demands perfection in all areas, not just the shooting.  This course will challenge current standards of observation and reporting, increase your ability to find stability and precision from inherently unstable positions, and enable the development of increased confidence and proficiency, both mentally and physically.
