Deputy Patrol Agent in Charge (DPAIC) Jonathon Baffi began his career with the U.S. Border Patrol in 1998 as a member of Class 365 at the Laredo Station, Laredo Sector. In 2004, he transferred to the Detroit Station, where he held various assignments, including Task Force Agent with DEA Group 6 and Michigan State Police Narcotics Units DRANO and MNET East. In 2019, he was assigned to Detroit Sector's Special Operations Detachment (BORTAC) and promoted to Supervisor in 2020. He was selected as Deputy Patrol Agent in Charge in 2024.
DPAIC Baffi has extensive experience in border security, narcotics enforcement, and tactical operations. He has been recognized with several commendations, including the USBP Achievement Medal and the Commissioner’s Medal for Law Enforcement Excellence.
