Michael Forrest – Master Instructor

Michael Forrest brings over 23 years of cumulative experience in law enforcement and military service. He began his career in the U.S. Army as a Military Police Officer, specializing as a K9 Handler and Trainer. During his military tenure, he competed in two international-level competitions—earning 12th place in the Warfighter Challenge and an impressive 2nd place in the Department of Defense (DoD) K9 World Trials. He also served as part of the multinational Stabilization Force deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina. Upon his return, Michael was selected to attend the Primary Leadership Development Course (PLDC), where he graduated as the Honor Graduate and earned promotion to Sergeant.

Currently, Michael serves as a Police Lieutenant and K9 Handler with the Golf Manor Police Department, where he has faithfully served the community for the past 19 years. For the last eight years, he has also been assigned as a K9 Handler to the U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST), supporting high-risk operations throughout the region.

Michael has earned a strong reputation for his commitment to the training and professional development of law enforcement and military personnel. He is widely recognized for his ability to design and deliver scenario-based training programs that reflect the complex realities faced by today’s peacekeepers. His instruction integrates practical tools, tactics, and real-world challenges, ensuring both operational readiness and tactical discipline. As a testament to his instructional effectiveness, agencies frequently request Michael by name when organizing their training events.
