Michael Forrest Bio

Michael Forrest has 23 years of cumulative experience in Law Enforcement. Michael spent 4 years in the US Army as a Military Police Officer, specializing as a K9 Handler / Trainer. During his military service, Mike competed in two World Level Competitions, placing 12th in the Warfighter Challenge and 2nd in the DOD K9 World Trials. Michael also contributed to the Multi-National efforts of the Stabilization Force while Deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina.  Upon returning from Bosnia, Michael was selected to attend the Primary Leadership Development Course (PLDC) to be promoted to SGT, being recognized as the Honor Graduate upon completion.

Currently, Michael Forrest is a Lieutenant / K9 Handler with the Golf Manor Police Department, having served that community for the past 19 years. During this time, Michael has earned a distinct reputation for his dedication to the training of Law Enforcement and Military personnel. Michael has become known for developing curricula based upon Reality Based Scenario Training, incorporating the real-world issues faced by today’s peacekeepers with the tools and equipment available to them. As a testament to Michael’s training style, many agencies specifically request to have Michael instruct, while they are setting up their classes.
