Constable Dan Pinkney is employed by the Halton Regional Police Service, which is a service in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada. Cst Pinkney began law enforcement with 4 years in general patrol before becoming a full time member of the Tactical Rescue Unit. 

Cst Pinkney has specialized in beaching, rappel master, tactical crisis negotiation and explosive disposal unit. Cst Pinkney has been involved in a multitude of critical incidents to include armed barricaded persons, high-risk vehicle interdiction, hostage situations, kidnappings, persons in crisis/suicidal persons and police involved shootings.

Cst Pinkney is currently in his 6th year with the Tactical Rescue Unit, where he is a Team Leader and is involved in the training and development of the unit.
