Constable Dan Pinkney is a member of the Halton Regional Police Service, serving the Greater Toronto Area in Ontario, Canada. He began his policing career in general patrol, where he served for four years before being selected as a full-time operator with the Tactical Rescue Unit (TRU).

Constable Pinkney holds specialized qualifications in breaching, rappel master operations, tactical crisis negotiation, and explosive disposal. Throughout his career, he has been involved in numerous critical incidents, including armed and barricaded persons, high-risk vehicle interdictions, hostage situations, kidnappings, and police-involved shootings.

Now in his seventh year with the Tactical Rescue Unit, Constable Pinkney serves as a Team Leader and is actively involved in the training and development of tactical personnel.
