Jacob Porter Bio

As TTG’s Training Director Jacob Porter blends together his formal education in Criminal Justice and Gunsmithing to provide highly detailed, relevant and critically necessary training to Law Enforcement. While earning his AAS in Criminal Justice with a Police Science Certificate in 1995 Jacob helped pay his way through school working in a gunshop and starting to follow what would be his ultimate career path – Gunsmithing. By 2008, Jacob had earned an AAS in Gunsmithing Technology through Montgomery Community College and entered the Firearms Industry with Alexander Arms performing a variety of duties as ‘Chief Gunsmith.’ In 2011 as Remington and Bushmaster merged under the same holding company Jacob was recruited to assist in establishing the Bushmaster LE Training Program to be combined with Remington’s Decades old Armorer’s Training. After several years of non-stop Armorer Instruction Jacob settled back to performing warranty service work for Remington, Bushmaster and DPMS under contract and helped found Triton Training Group. Currently when not teaching Armorer Schools or performing Warranty Repairs he teaches NRA Short Term Gunsmithing classes at MCC.
