Dustin has been a police officer for approximately seventeen years. He graduated from the Dayton Police Academy in 2007. He was employed with the Dayton Police Department for four years. From May 2011 to the present time, he has been employed with the Perrysburg Township Police Department. He is currently assigned as a Sergeant to Penta Career Center as a School Resource Officer. Prior to his current assignment, he was assigned to road patrol for nearly five years and spent over six additional years in the Detective Bureau. During his time in the Detective Bureau, he was assigned as a Task Force Officer to the Secret Service and served in that capacity for over a year. He is currently a member of the Wood County Regional Special Response Team as an operator and has been in that role for over six years. He received a Bachelors and Master's Degree from the University of Toledo, both in Criminal Justice. For six years he was an adjunct professor for the University of Toledo’s Criminal Justice program, teaching Introduction to Policing as well as Cybercrime and Digital Forensics. Currently he is an instructor at Owens Community College and will be teaching various OPOTA courses at the Owens Police Academy. He is currently assigned as an Instructor with the OTOA Red Team Cadre.
