Course Description

This course offers a comprehensive exploration of the realities, practical uses, and best practices for Low Power Variable Optics (LPVOs) in general patrol rifle applications. Designed for law enforcement and tactical professionals, the course provides participants with a foundational understanding of LPVOs, their associated hardware, and optimal carbine setup for patrol use.

The live-fire component includes hands-on training to develop proficiency in key skills, such as:

  • Zeroing: Establishing an accurate and reliable zero for the LPVO.
  • External Ballistics: Understanding the ballistic performance of your rifle and optic system.
  • Dynamic Shooting: Engaging targets effectively in varied and fast-paced scenarios.
  • Unconventional Shooting Positions: Adapting to non-standard shooting stances for operational versatility.

This course equips participants with the knowledge and skills to confidently integrate LPVOs into their patrol rifle setups, enhancing precision and adaptability in the field.

Student Requirements

Basic understanding of carbine operation and marksmanship 

  • An open mind
  • An LPVO equipped patrol rife (limited number of loaners available upon request).
  • Rifle Sling and attachments
  • Minimum of (3) 30rd magazines.
  • 500 rifle rounds
