Extraction Tactics and Officer Safety

This course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of when and why extractions are necessary in law enforcement operations. Through focused skill-building exercises, students will learn how to safely and effectively execute extractions involving multiple officers for apprehension. The course will cover a range of scenarios where extractions are applicable, with an emphasis on ensuring safety and minimizing risks for both officers and subjects involved.

Students will also explore the challenges posed by confined spaces, which can complicate extractions. Key focus areas include understanding how to navigate these tight environments and the potential issues that may arise during these operations. Additionally, the course will cover standard operating procedures (SOP) considerations, highlighting the protocols and best practices to follow when conducting extractions.

By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to assess when extractions are necessary, how to approach them safely, and how to manage potential obstacles effectively in real-world scenarios.
