The critical incident debrief is a vital part of tactical team and police department growth outlining the successes, failures, and needs for future improvement.  Though the value for this is widely recognized professionally, it is not practiced personally within the most important and lasting team dynamic of the family unit.  Through the personal testimonies of tactical officers who have experienced tragedy and failure within their marriages and families, officers/operators will learn the importance of critically debriefing family incidents for future improvement.
