Course Description

This is a course based around contingencies that are not focused on in the majority of police training. We will review fundamentals of shooting as it applies to contingencies that may arise while involved in a critical incident.

Malfunctions clearance and draw stroke under varying situations will be a focus starting with both hands and then one handed using dominant and non-dominant hands.

Student will work on shooting from close contact to as far as 100 yards (range permitted) as well as gaining an understanding of distance management. Students will work on conventional and non-conventional shooting positions using barricades are covered as well.

The class culminates with some team and individual competitive drills that involve many of the contingencies that we trained throughout the day.
