Tactical Emergency Medical Support Track (TEMS) by OTOA

Course Description

The OTOA Tactical Emergency Medical Support (TEMS) track is a 1-day training session (4 hours lecture/ 4 hours scenario) for tactical medical professionals who wish to enhance their skills and knowledge and get hands-on training in tactical medical care in an intense and realistic environment. Participants will have the opportunity to practice tactical medical pre-planning, assessment, hemorrhage control, and airway management; review the latest recommendations from the Committees on Tactical Combat Casualty Care and Tactical Emergency Casualty Care, and manage simulated casualties in “bad places” while receiving real-time instruction and feedback.

Student Requirements

This is NOT an introductory class. Students must be EMT, AEMT,
Paramedic, RN, PA, DO, or MD with previous TEMS training or experience.

  • BDUs
  • Boots
  • Vest
  • Helmet
  • Eye protection 
  • Chemical protection mask with carrier.
  • No weapons of any kind (to include firearms, knives, chemical agent sprays, noise/flash diversionary devices, etc.) 
  • If you carry a tactical medical load-out, bring it with you.
  • Training tourniquets, gauze, and dressings will be supplied.
