Course Description

TECC for Law Enforcement Officers and First Responders (TECC-LEO): An 8-hour classroom course specifically designed for law enforcement officers and other non-EMS first responders. This class can also be taken by EMTs/Medics and TEMS personnel. The course covers materials found in the 16-hour TECC provider course at a level appropriate for first responders. It includes 8 hours of content, which includes interactive lectures, skill stations, and patient simulations. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a certificate of completion, a wallet card recognizing them as a TECC-LEO provider for 4 years, and 8 hours of CAPCE credit for qualified participants.

Student Requirements

If you attached to a SWAT/SRT team, bring what you would wear to a callout/training. If you a patrol officer, please bring your daily duty gear.

Please wear clothing that you can get dirty/crawl around in. We do use fake blood, so be prepared. It states it does not stain, but to be safe, don't wear brand new clothes. We will have some classroom lecture, but most will be hands on skills. This class is strenuous. We will be carrying live role players, and constantly moving.

Also, bring:

  • Note taking material
  • Water
  • NO WEAPONS
