John David (JD) Morris retired from 5th Special Forces Group(A) in 2008, after 21 years in the Army. JD served as a sniper, explosive breacher, assaulter, intelligence manager, and team sergeant over 14 years. He instructed foreign military pesonnel on numerous deployments to the Middle East from 1993 to 2005. Since retirement, JD has taught long range shooting for Barrett Firearms, and trained armed citizens in GA, KY, OH, PA, SC, TN, and WV. He has also instructed for federal agencies and SWAT in the Northeast. JD currently teaches advanced combat marksmanship and tactics, and manages training for OSS2 Shooting & Survival, LLC, which is owned by his wife Janet. JD joined the OTOA Red Team in 2023.
