Course Description

The Westshore Enforcement Bureau initiated their drone program four years ago, and this course is designed to provide a comprehensive review of the drones and equipment necessary for successfully completing law enforcement missions.

This course will cover the various types of drones currently used in law enforcement, along with the essential equipment needed to ensure effective drone operations. In addition, there will be a dedicated section focused on the necessary items and considerations for drone training, including pre-flight checks, safety protocols, and mission planning.

A key component of the course will include debriefing several real-world missions to discuss the strategies, challenges, and lessons learned from these operations. This will provide attendees with valuable insights and practical knowledge that can be applied to their own drone programs.

Following the classroom sessions, students will participate in practical hands-on training, using their own drones to conduct indoor flight exercises. These exercises will allow students to develop their skills in controlled environments, providing a safe space for practice and refinement of their drone operation techniques.
