This course begins with a short review of the concepts covered in Critical Handgun Essentials.

This course will give the experienced officer a thorough understanding of emergency handgun manipulation and unorthodox shooting positions.

Range Drills

• One-hand shooting
• Strong hand draw
• Presentation and reloading
• Malfunction clearing
• Unorthodox shooting positions other than standing
• Shooting from a seated position
• Utilization of cover/concealment
• Extended distance shooting.

Student Requirements

• Duty/Tactical belt
• Duty handgun with holster and three magazines
• Body armor or plate carrier - Mandatory
• 400 rounds of quality handgun ammunition
• Packed lunch/snacks/hydration source
• Clothing for weather conditions
• Hearing protection
• Wrap around safety glasses
• Billed hat

The course cost does not include ammunition, lodging, transportation, and food.
