This Critical Incident Leadership for Patrol Operations / Patrol Supervisor Response to Critical Incidents is designed to prepare the Patrol Officer and Supervisor to take on a leadership role during critical incidents, prior to the arrival of specialized tactical units, promoting an organized and professional tactical patrol response.

Topics covered will include small unit leadership, decision-making models, the assessment and application of patrol equipment, the application of a condensed Incident Command System, enhancing patrol training, and lessons learned through the review of actual patrol responses to armed suspects.

Students will work through scenarios in a table-top style environment throughout the course identifying and solving problems associated with the response to critical incidents.

Target Audience: First-Line Supervisors, Patrol Officers, and Patrol Personnel who may have to act as front-line supervisors.
